Last night there was a brutal terrorist attack in Nice, France. Horrible things happen too often, but for some reason this one hurt my soul more than any of the recent events have.
I opened my scriptures this morning while eating breakfast with Lily and William and turned to these verses in Isaiah:
"...neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. Sanctify the Lord of hosts himself, and let him be your fear..." Isaiah 8:12-13
What a message of hope and comfort. After I read those verses, I looked at Lily and explained that something really sad had happened but that we didn't need to have fear. But rather, look to Heavenly Father and Jesus. I cried a little. For this world, but I think mostly for Lily and William.
Peace. Love. Hope. These are the things I want to spread as I continue to hear the bad news of the world. Let's overcome the ugly out there with some good.
