Growing Up

The kids are growing up - here's some captured proof :)

 Lily on her first date:

William trying to ask out his first date:

Lily asking if we can start a farm like the neighbor's:

Driving cars and shopping for groceries:

Growing chins :))

 Going for rides:

Scheming on how to leave the house without me noticing:

Attempting to climb out of sleeping quarters:*

Learning to pump some legs:

Meeting great-great-great-great grandmother Mary Lloyd

Eating a full ear of corn

Quarreling:

Learning to swim (on dry land):**

...and reading:

Fortunately, although they are growing up, William's still a momma's boy (and it's about time I took a picture with him!)...

and Lily her daddy's girl.

*This little face starting popping up over his port-a-crib just a couple weeks ago. How can you not love this guy? He loves to pull himself up and does so every chance he gets.

**This fish has never seen it's natural, wet habitat (a swimming pool). But Lily asked if we could finally take it out of its box the other day. So we did, and the kids love the fish. When Lily takes her naps and goes to bed, she asks for the fish. The first time she asked, I let her have it in bed (it takes up almost half her crib)... and came in later to find her happily sitting in it reading her favorite fish book. There was then a little tantrum as I explained that both her and the fish needed to go to sleep. He doesn't get to go to sleep with her anymore, but they are still buddies.
