Recap

Life is flying by faster than I can keep a blog... as per usual. The past few months have been filled with white snow; crayons; holidays; family; airplanes and emotions... among other things. 

In November, we flew to Orlando, Florida for Brant's brother's wedding. It was so fun to be there for Paul and Julia's special day. We were also able to enjoy the white sandy beach of the Gulf Coast, take William for his first swim, visit Disney World and see lots of cool wildlife. Lily surprised us one day -- her and Brant were on a deck chasing lizards. Brant walked away for a little while and Lily continued to chase a little lizard, then proceeded to catch it! She then brought the lizard over to her dad and gave it to him, as a token of her love for him. It was the most random thing, but we were so proud. She is usually a pretty cautious girl, so to see her catch a lizard on her own accord was one of those priceless moments. 

December was filled with birthdays, Christmas and family. I love the feel of Christmas. We made our second flight adventure as we headed to Portland after Brant finished teaching. It was good to be in Portland for the holidays and spend time with family.

It's now nearing the end of January. William and Lily are on week four of playing cold ping pong. (One of them has a cold, passes it to the other, the other gets over it, then gets it back from the other... and so forth). I'm hoping one of these days the oranges and sleep will kick in and fight off this visitor. But for now, I'm happy to wipe runny noses.
