Recently -

It's been seven months since the last post. Here are some updates from the Lloyd clan! 

Recently:

We said farewell to the beautiful Northwest,

and moved to Arizona!

This girl started kindergarten,

he started pre-school,

and he's, trying to keep up with his siblings.

Our sand table became a water table, 

we found a cricket in our silverware drawer,

and a lizard in our KITCHEN! Waa

((The cricket was nice enough to place itself in a measuring cup before being found (it had been hiding and chirping at night occasionally for some time). The lizard seemed to just have wanted a nice, yummy meal. I saw it during dinner time in the corner and shrieked with great horror. Brant caught it and William was quite hopeful that we'd keep it and finally have a real pet. Not so.)) 

Despite the hot weather and occasional indoor critters, we like it here. We will miss our wonderful Northwest family and friends. Our two years in Portland were full of challenges, sunshine, rain, and God's amazing grace. Forever grateful for the time we had with my mother before her passing.

How we ended up moving to Arizona feels like too long of a story to share. In short though, we felt ready for some kind of change - and this is the change that we felt the most peace about.

Looking forward to cooler weather (the 90's is now cooler weather!), improving our skills at staying in touch with people near and far, and finding the beauty in each day - whether it be a beautiful day or an I-want-to-pull-my-hair-out kind of day :) Peace and love.
