I have always had a spot in my heart for God’s creations. As
a kid, I remember feeling so sad for the troops of ants that would invade our
kitchen, only to be sprayed by my good mother. Sometimes I’d carry them outside
to their deserved freedom. This past summer, however, I broke my alliance with
the innocent bugs—while my parents were out of town one week, I used my mom’s
ant killer and sprayed the kitchen invaders. Some friend I am.
Although my relationship with ants has gone downhill this past
month, I am happy to say it has improved with chickensJ Whilst at the grocery
store a couple weeks ago, I decided to by a dozen cage free, grain fed chicken
eggs.
Yes, for a mere $2.50 (sale price) you too can have a clearer
conscious, knowing the producers of your scrambled eggs lived a better life.
Now I’m not out to shame anyone into changing their grocery
habits. I respect all buyers of chicken eggs. Certainly
these “natural cage free” chickens aren’t experiencing fine dining and lush, green rolling hills. But it’s a step. Hopefully someday, I’ll have a nice little
chicken coop. Until then, I will enjoy this small eggcellent [excellent] change in my life:)

Oh Lindsey how I miss you. Part of God's plan for us was to room with each other so we could be friends forever. This post is one of the reasons I just love you to death. It was fun chatting on the phone the other day. Miss you like crazy.
